OUR PROCESS

Our Attic Insulation Process

A clear process for assessing the attic, discussing suitable options, confirming the scope and completing the agreed work.

A CLEAR PATH FORWARD

The process begins with the condition, not a predetermined product.

Each attic has a different combination of access, existing material, airflow, roof geometry and visible history. The work scope should be based on what is found and what the homeowner wants to address.

A DEFINED PROCESS

Six steps from request to completion

01

Tell us what you are noticing

Use the form to describe temperature differences, drafts, existing insulation, leak history, a garage ceiling or another attic concern.

02

Review attic access and visible conditions

Inspect accessible insulation, coverage, the attic hatch, ventilation paths, air-leakage opportunities and warning signs that may require another provider.

03

Discuss suitable options

Explain whether the attic may suit a top-up, full replacement, air sealing, ventilation-related work or a more limited next step.

04

Confirm the scope and exclusions

Define material, preparation, access, related work, exclusions and the estimate before work begins.

05

Prepare and complete the agreed work

Protect the access route and complete only the confirmed insulation-related scope.

06

Complete a visible final check

Review the accessible work area, clean the route and explain relevant follow-up observations.

BEFORE WORK

Information that helps

  • Which rooms feel uncomfortable
  • Whether the attic is accessible
  • Known insulation type or previous upgrades
  • Roof, plumbing or condensation history
  • Photos of the hatch or visible attic areas
  • Any suspected material or condition that should not be disturbed

SCOPE LIMITS

Separate work may be required

Roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural, pest, asbestos, mould or biohazard conditions may require an appropriately qualified provider. An insulation assessment should identify the limitation and avoid disturbing suspect material.
